I have a wish. I want to be able to look at today's world without skepticism or doubt. I want to believe that our everyday visual perception is not influenced by ideology or power. I want to contribute something totally authentic to the dialogue about virtuality and the fast pace of our lives - a fragment of the viewer's own imagination. Painting is reclaiming its autonomous domain. Living in an age of the virtual, of media fatigue and visual overload, we are beginning to find real value in things that demand their own place and time.
I am studying abstract painting. This kind of painting challenges the viewer to slow down and use their imagination. There are moments when the painting expands in space and creates an environment in which the viewer finally becomes part of the work.
