Retart -independent label from Slovakia-

retart(temporary)

"Retart" that I encountered during my trip to Slovakia
I have fond and fond memories of Matus and Alica - the streets of Bratislava, their studio in Prague at the time, and the open air bars along the Danube.
When Aquvii was located in Daikanyama, we sold their products in our store, and even now people often ask me, "Do you have that wallet?"
I haven't been able to see them for a while since the COVID-19 outbreak, but we kept in touch and decided to introduce them again in Japan. Their artsy visuals are the same as they were back then, but they've been updated in many ways, which makes me excited just looking at them.
This will be an order-only system, so please look forward to receiving it!

-The art you can wear-

Retart is an independent Slovakian label that has been showcasing contemporary visual artists and their work through functional products since 2010.

Unconventional, stylish and above all practical: these are the characteristics of a range of uniquely designed products that showcase the work of contemporary international visual artists.

By fusing visual art with original products for everyday use, we hope to make our products accessible to everyone, not just gallery visitors.

Bratislava Dizajnweek 2011 “Best Collection” Award . This prestigious award was received in recognition of the unique design that combines modern art and illustrations with a simple plastic wallet.

The idea is that artworks can be enjoyed outside of the gallery and should be accessible to everyone every day.

Change up your boring stuff with a piece of art you can wear every day!
