This work, limited to 30 pieces and individually handcrafted by the artist's father, a plaster craftsman, encapsulates the presence and memories of "someone" who may have once existed within plaster.

Encounters with things that inexplicably make you chuckle
When traveling, you sometimes encounter things that inexplicably catch your eye, or that you just can't get out of your mind. You might buy them under the guise of "sourcing," but then you can't put a price on them, or you can't bear to part with them...
What might be insignificant to one person can be important to another. "Trace of Stranger's" began with the desire to give form to such an uncertain atmosphere.
A collaborative work with my father, a plaster craftsman
I send the original prototypes to my father, a plaster craftsman who has created many Aquvii products with me before. He's a craftsman who has been involved in the restoration of places like the State Guest House and the Kabuki-za Theatre. Just like always, I receive a bewildered message: "...What is this?" No, this time the "What is this?" feeling was even stronger than usual.
Still, after a few phone calls and sharing images, he somehow manages to give it form. Conveying the concept, even loosely, turns out to be surprisingly important. There are no detailed instructions; it's a cycle of sending, discussing, getting samples, complaining, and then repeating the process.
1 mold, limited to 30 pieces
Plaster molds have a limit to the quantity they can produce.
Normally, Aquvii products have new molds made each time that limit is reached, but this time we decided to leverage that "limit." This time, we're making the most of it: 30 limited pieces per mold.
Instead of endlessly increasing and diluting, we want them to quietly spread out for 30 pieces and become new memories for someone. Each piece is engraved with a numbering as its proof.
A "spice" for your space
In an era with so many uncertainties, this work is created with reliable handiwork. If these objects, purified through the Aquvii filter, can become a comfortable spice for your space, nothing would make us happier.
